Well I have just returned from the cinema having seen "Pride and Prejudice" http://java.europe.yahoo.com/uk/uip/prideandprejudice/site/flashSite.htm
Well I never claimed to have a uniform taste in films you know;-)
The cinema was packed.... full mainly of er.."ladies of a certain age".. shall we say. My friends and I felt like we had stumbled into a meeting of the Women's Institute. One of my mates remarked on the "old lady smell". Quite what that is... or how he knows what old ladies smell like.... he failed to mention. :-) Anyway.. we fought our way past the home make jam and chutney stall on the way out.. and drove home without singing Jerusalem once.

The film was actually better than I expected.. I really rather enjoyed it. I've not read the book since I was at school... I don't think we studied it.. but I read it anyway...and there you were thinking I was an uncultured, larger, swilling yob :-)
