Tony Robinson, eat your heart out

For longer than I care to remember (ie I'm now feeling old) 'Thursday evening' has meant 'pub with Ben and Mike'. It used to include Phil... but he moved to Liverpool with his wife.. and despite assurances that he'd still turn up every week... I think in 3 years he's managed it once. ;)
Thursday night traditions also include.. Ben's selective hearing relating to crisp ordering, It used to be that "Cheese and Onion" would always come back as "Salt and vinegar" .. and now everything comes back as "Quavers"... a dodgy PA system which deafens the entire pub when the staff are trying to call last orders...(why they can't have a bell like normal pubs is a mystery) and Mike playing with his candle and getting wax all over the table.
This isn't a euphemism... ;)

All I can suggest it that given the conversation is so dull ... and with the whole moth to a flame principle these two combine to make playing with wax appealing . I'm not entirely innocent in this regard either... many a good candle has been ruined by careful use of a straw to make holes in the sides ... all in the name of modern art of course...

This Thursday Mike made a startling discovery... I just hope you are sitting down.

You've heard of Stonehenge.

You're probably aware of the concept of Woodhenge.

Brace yourself for ...

Waxhenge.

Yes .. Thursday nights in the pub are THRILLING ;)

Is it THAT pub? The one with nobody in it? Or the one with the blackboard menus and lovely food?

Have you seen Biscuit Henge?
Yummy.
