Four months...

A lot can happen in four months... and I'm sure it has. Those skilled in such things, may have noticed I've not posted for a while ... what do you mean you didn't ? ;) There is nothing quite like having your ego stroked.

Anyway.. "what has been happening?" I hear you cry. Well Christmas came and went.. (as it as a habit of doing).

My friend came from London, which was an interesting experience. He spent most of his time abusing my interent connection... much to the interest of the dog. We also travelled to Grimsby for the day to see his family (not my dog's family .. no) .. which was another interesting expereince.

And for those of you keeping track of such things.. yes the cake was decorated and then eaten.

No sooner had 2007 thrust itself upon us.... than my birthday arrived and vanished with alarming speed...

Ben's handwriting skills were put to the test with the lettering on my cake, although it was about 1am before anyone remembered we hadn't actually seen the cake, much less eaten any.

However the shame of my dessert arriving at the table in the restaurant, complete with several lighted candles - thus prompting the dimming of the lights and a rendition of Happy Birthday by friends/ staff and I fear ... other customers... is a moment that will stay with me... and in my nightmares for a while to come ;) I would like to thank everyone who made the effort to turn up that evening. It was lovely to see you all.
